And I am sure you will see the headline HEROES FALTERS AGAIN!

On the surface, you might be right, but there is good news if you look for it.

First, can we just admit that there are a lot of people who like to watch E-list celebrities dancing with all three left feet. And that did cut into the totals. So did last night's Slip-N-Slide edition of the World Series (memo to Rupert: This is God's punishment to you for hiring O'Reilly! Just sayin'....)

So for Our Golden Hour:

1. Dancing.... (ABC) 12.0/17 share
2. World Series Game 5 (FOX) 7.3/11
3. 2 and a Half Men (CBS) 6.4/11
4. HEROES (NBC) 4.9/7
5. One Tree Hill (the CW) 2.1/3

No information on MNT was available.

Yep it does look bad, even though HEROES is still one of NBC's top 3 dramatic scripted shows on a network that is weak throught the week.

HOWEVER, it gets better when you tak a look at the demos from the 18-49 year-old group: the money demo....or, as I call them...viewers with a pulse....it does get tighter and things look better:

First Half Hour:

1. Dancing... (ABC) 4.2
2. HEROES (NBC) 3.9!
3. Two and a Half Men (CBS) 3.8
4. World Series (FOX) 3.6
5. One Tree Hill (the CW) 1.7

And the Second Hour (I did not have a complete breakdown, but when you add Sam and Gary, it looks like this:

1. HEROES (NBC) 3.9 (BOOYA!)
2. World Series (FOX) 3.6
3. Samantha Who (ABC) 3.0
4. Gary Unmarried (CBS) 2.9
5. One Tree Hill (the CW) 1.7

The bottom line is that Heroes for all of the premature obituaries, is still kicking major rump on Mondays with the audience that cares. Yes it is down, but it remains a strong player for NBC.

And NBC needs to know that. There needs to be letters and e-mails sent from those who love the show that you support it. Go to http://www.nbc.com/Footer/Contact_Us/ the scroll down until you see the pull-down menu. Select HEROES, then write. Let them know that you are enjoying the show and that you are supporting it.

Also support the sponsors. When you go get your Sprint phone or or buy and Apple computer or Ipod, tell them you heard about it on HEROES....and thank them.

Claire and Elle Take a Plane Trip

For the last year we have waited for THIS moment. Not the one where Claire drags Elle by the hair, but THIS, where they kinda bond.

Its bickery, dramatic, and funny as hell. And Claire/Heyden and Elle/Kristen make a great team. If they jusrt just concentrated on these two, the show would be back to more than just mere amazing again.

Oh, and note near the end the little nod the the ladies and the writers give to the femslashers who have kept eClaire going all this year...many times in ways that will never windup on NBC!

Hey All,
Heroes star Greg Grunberg recently spoke with Digital Spy during the London MCM Expo and revealed many details Volume 4 Fugitives.

He did confirm that they are already filming the second episode of Volume 4 which is Episode 3x15.

Thanks to Chris for the heads up.

Here is a summary of the other details:

1) Volume 4 puts the Heroes in a "Guantanamo Bay kind of a situation" and they all have to work together to get out of it.

2) The Hunter is trying to track them all down

3) There is a big Cliffhanger in Epiosde 3x13 (end of Volume 3) that will lead into Volume 4.

4) Matt will take a very dark turn in Volume 4, but there is a reason.

5) We will learn more about Daphne's motives

6) We will see more of Matt and Daphne together in Volume 3

7) In next week's episode 3x07 Daphne is indeed sent to kill Matt

What to expect to night

I was doing a bunch of stuff, so I was not able to write this. Thanks ODI!

Hey All,
Well you have the sneak peeks and the promos so there is probably not much left to tell you all just an hour or two before the episode airs, but you can expect to see Elle and Claire working together and going to Pinehearst where they will run into Peter.

We will also see Sylar hanging out at Pinehearst, plus other spoilers have confirmed that we will see Daphne get an order to kill Matt. So expect to see that story begin as well. Don't forget evil Mohinder working with Arthur as well!!

Looks like we have another flashback episode here. The interesting thing is that....and it was scheduled long before the season started....there will be a one-week break in the action. Meaning that there will be no Heroes 11.03. One wonders what NBC has in store THAT week?

Heroes Slips again, Finishes 3rd to "Dancing." CBS Sitcoms

Dancing With the Stars took Monday night’s top spot once again, even with fan-favorite dance team Misty May-Treanor and Maksim Chermkovskiy officially out of the competition (she hurt her Achilles tendon). The series suffered a mere 2 percent decline from last week's performance show, attracting an average of 18.8 million viewers, according to overnight data, and winning the night for ABC. Dancing’s follow-up, Boston Legal, also performed well, attracting 9.5 million viewers in the 10 p.m. hour (a 50 percent decline from its lead-in, but still above its last-season average of 8.9 million).

Meanwhile, CBS' Monday night comedy block held steady against Dancing: The Big Bang Theory (9.3 million), How I Met Your Mother (9.0 million), and Two and a Half Men (13.9 million) experienced slight increases over last week’s averages. Only the Eye’s freshman comedy, Worst Week fared a little, well, worse: Ratings were down 515,000 from last week, topping out at 8.8 million. CBS won the 10 p.m. hour, however, with CSI: Miami's 13.6 million viewers stealing the spotlight from both Boston Legal and NBC’s Life (5.8 million).

Life wasn’t NBC’s only letdown, though. Chuck continued to struggle, averaging 5.9 million viewers at 8 p.m. (an 11 percent decline from last Monday’s disappointing premiere), and Heroes tallied just 8.2 million at 9 p.m., a loss of about a million viewers from last week, and well below last year’s 11.6 million average.

Lastly, Fox’s 8 p.m. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and 9 p.m. Prison Break kept pace with previous weeks this season, earning 5.6 and 5.4 million viewers, respectively, though both shows are trailing their previous-year averages (9.8 million and 7.5 million) when they aired in opposite time slots (Terminator at 9 p.m. and Break at 8 p.m.).

The CW aired reruns of Privileged and Gossip Girl last night.

+ Doyle then forces Mrs. Bennet to pick up the gun and makes her aim it at Claire.
+ Claire tells Mrs. Bennet to shoot Claire as Mrs. Bennet shoots Claire until the gun actually fires on her.
+ Doyle checks on Claire and turns around to look at Mrs. Bennet and Meredith as Claire wakes up and knocks him out.

+ Angela is lying in a bed, Sylar and Peter are talking about Angela and how Sylar cares about her.
+ Sylar is asking Peter to go into her mind and find out what’s wrong with her.
+ Peter gets repelled by something by something and sees something in her mind.

+ HRG arrives to knock Doyle out.
+ Meredith and HRG are talking about how that they should team up to fight people like him.
+ Peter tells Sylar that he is going to Pinehearst as they both start fighting as Peter knocks him out in an epic fight.
+ Peter hooks Sylar up and incapacitates him.
+ Tracy and Suresh are talking about how that Suresh didn’t mean for any of this to happen.
+ Tracy freezes Suresh as soon as he holds her hand
+ Tracy breaks free by freezing her handcuffs and then releases Nathan.
+ Suresh throws a table at them and tells Tracy and Nathan that it isn’t over.

Heroes/Dying by the Light: Things to look out for tonight.

With the sweeps in front of us, and an up week in the ratings behind us, S3E6 seems to be a set-up episode. Here are the things you should be on the look for:

• Hiro, Daphne, Knox: Knox will seem to be very impressed with his power to use fear against others. He and semi-willing Speedster will bring Hiro and others into the Pinehusrt fold.
• Pinehurst in fact we may learn a lot more about the other mysterious organization behind out specials as Peter goes to Pinehurst to find answers.
• Firebrand Meredeth is in the control of a real ugly guy who can control peoples minds and bodies.Check your local women's shelter for any analogies. Anyway Claire and Sandra try to free Meredeth. Nice to see Sandra get into the action.
• Nathan brings Tracy to Mohinder to see if Mo can help our Ice Queen from being such an Ice Queen. Bad move.
• We'll find out what really happned to Ando last week. As if you haven't figured it out by now.

Christian Slater spy series averages a 3.0 in 18-49s

With “Heroes” showing its first week-to-week growth of the season, NBC’s new spy drama “My Own Worst Enemy” debuted to okay numbers last night, neither great nor terrible.

“Enemy” averaged a 3.0 adults 18-49 rating at 10 p.m., according to Nielsen overnights, holding 71 percent of lead-in “Heroes’” audience and finishing a solid second in the timeslot.

The Christian Slater show received decidedly mixed reviews, with some critics calling it the best new show of the season and others dismissing it as a jumbled mess. But NBC noted that the show tied for the best retention for any show behind “Heroes” since “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” two years ago.

At 9 p.m., “Heroes” rebounded a bit from the previous week’s series low, meanwhile, averaging a 4.2 rating, up 5 percent.

In other premieres last night, ABC’s “Samantha Who?” returned at 9:30 p.m. with a 3.1 rating, finishing well behind last year’s premiere but trailing fellow comedy “Worst Week” on CBS in the timeslot by just 0.2 despite having a smaller lead-in.

As a reminder, all ratings are based on live-plus-same-day DVR playback. Seven-day DVR data won’t be available for several weeks. Twenty-eight percent of Nielsen households have DVRs.

CBS was first for the night among 18-49s with a 4.0 average overnight rating and a 10 share. ABC and NBC tied for second at 3.2/8, with Fox fourth at 2.4/6, CW fifth at 1.7/4 and Univision sixth at 1.6/4.

As a reminder, ratings for Fox’s National League Championship Series are approximate as fast nationals measure timeslot and not actual program data.

At 8 p.m. ABC led with a 3.9 for “Dancing with the Stars,” followed by CBS with a 3.7 for “The Big Bang Theory” (3.6) and “How I Met Your Mother” (3.8). Fox was third with a 2.4 for its first hour of National League Championship Series coverage, NBC fourth with a 2.3 for “Chuck,” Univision fifth with a 1.7 for “Cuidado con el Angel” and CW sixth with a 1.6 for “Gossip Girl.”

+ Tracy and Nathan enter Peter’s cell

The Behind the Scenes and Interviews with Jessica Alba and the behind the camera talent behind THE MUZZLER 2008! THE MUZZLER 2008 depicts Alba as the host of a faux home-shopping cable channel, hawking "The Muzzler 2008," a Hannibal Lecter-like restraint mask that symbolizes failing to exercise the right to vote.

As Alba describes the features of the The Muzzler, Panettiere comically emphasizes the mask's ability to stifle the consumer's voice and vote. The video also features actor Tristan Wilds from the television series 90210.

The public service announcement was produced for Declare Yourself, as part of the nonpartisan organization's "Only You Can Silence Yourself" campaign aimed at registering every eligible 18-to-29 years old, to vote in the 2008 presidential election before many state registration deadlines expire in October.

The PSA, produced by Michael Abbott's United Front (unitedfrontfilms.com), was written by Gregg Rosenzweig and directed by Brandon Kraines. The PSA, along with other images in the campaign, is available for download at www.DeclareYourself.com , and will be distributed virally.

NBC’s Monday night schedule felt some hurt last night as “Heroes” and “Chuck” dipped to series lows and the network slipped 13 percent from last week.

NBC finished third for the night, averaging a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating and 7 share, according to Nielsen overnights, more than a point behind nightly leader CBS. That comes on a night where the network once challenged for No. 1 during the first season of “Heroes.”

As a reminder, all ratings are based on live-plus-same-day DVR playback. Seven-day DVR data won’t be available for several weeks.

It’s possible the network could see a solid bump then. “Heroes” is one of the most-DVRed shows on broadcast, and “Chuck” has a young-skewing audience. Twenty-eight percent of Nielsen households have DVRs.

Still, the early numbers for NBC weren’t promising. “Chuck” slid to fourth place in its 8 p.m. timeslot, behind even Fox’s struggling “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” with a series-low 2.2 rating. That was off 15 percent from a 2.6 for its premiere last week.

Third-year drama “Heroes” also hit a series low, averaging a 3.9, down 11 percent from last week’s 4.4 and off 22 percent from a 5.0 the same night last year.

CBS also has a potential worry on its schedule. While the rest of its Monday comedies are doing great, all showing year-to-year gains last night, 9:30 p.m.’s “Worst Week” continued to decline in its third week.

The show averaged a 3.0 rating, losing 0.1 from last week and squandering 41 percent of “Two and a Half Men’s” 5.1 lead-in.

CBS was first for the night among 18-49s with a 3.9 average overnight rating and a 10 share. ABC was second at 3.7/9, NBC third at the aforementioned 2.8/7, Fox fourth at 2.2/6, Univision fifth at 1.7/4 and CW sixth at 0.8/2.

At 8 p.m. ABC was first with a 4.1 for “Dancing with the Stars,” followed by CBS with a 3.8 for “The Big Bang Theory” (3.6) and “How I Met Your Mother” (4.0). Fox was third with a 2.3 for “Terminator,” NBC fourth with a 2.2 for “Chuck,” Univision fifth with a 1.6 for “Cuidado con el Angel” and CW sixth with a 0.8 for a repeat of “Gossip Girl.”

ABC led again at 9 p.m. with a 4.6 for more “Stars,” with CBS second with a 4.0 for “Men” (5.1) and “Worst Week” (3.0). NBC was third with a 3.9 for “Heroes,” Fox fourth with a 2.2 for “Prison Break,” Univision fifth with a 2.0 for “Fuego en la Sangre” and CW sixth with a 0.7 for a “Privileged” rerun.

At 10 p.m. CBS took over with a 3.9 for “CSI: Miami,” while ABC slipped to second with a 2.4 for “Boston Legal.” NBC was third with a 2.3 for “Life” and Univision fourth with a 1.4 for “Cristina.”

ABC led the night among households with a 10.2 average overnight rating and a 16 share. CBS was second at 7.4/11, NBC third at 4.2/6, Fox fourth at 3.5/5, Univision fifth at 2.2/3 and CW sixth at 1.2/2.
