The Powells are about to go from ordinary to extraordinary. After 16 years of marriage, Jim (Michael Chiklis, The Shield Fantastic Four) feels disconnected from his workaholic wife, Stephanie (Julie Benz, Dexter), and two teenage children, Daphne (Kay Panabaker, Summerland) and JJ (Jimmy Bennett, Star Trek). To encourage family bonding time, Jim decides the family will join Stephanie on her business trip to South America. When their plane crashes into the Amazon River, they barely enjoy a moment to celebrate their survival before returning to the grind of everyday life. But they will soon realize that their lives have been forever changed. Each member of the family starts to show signs of new, unique and distinct super powers. (sounds familiar, guys) Will their newfound abilities finally bring them together or push them further apart?

Heroes Continues to Rack Impressive Numbers
There's no stopping the cheerleader.
Last night's Fast Ratings show that NBC's Heroes is a bona fide hit, something newtorks all dream about when they pull out thier new schedules.
And it seems that the ballsy move of running Heroes at the same time as FOX's juggernaught 24 is having an impact on old Mr. Bauer.
In the 9-10 PM (ET) hour, was in first with its comedy block, followed Heroes in 2nd with a 8.2 rating and a 12 share, closely follwed by 24's 7.9/12. ABC's Supernanny held at 4th, The CW's Black comedies, Girlfriends and The Game at 5th, and MyNetworkTV's novella Watch Over Me pretty much unwatched.
The interesting part is that, while Two and a Half Men on CBS did get first place with a mighty 10.5/15 from 9-9:30, David Spade's Rules of Engagement slipped to an 8.9/13, almost allowing Heroes to take first place at that time.
According to www.zap2it.com, ratings information is taken from fast national data, which includes live and same-day DVR viewing. All numbers are preliminary and subject to change.

Overnight Ratings: Heroes Returns, Holds Up Against 24
By Rebecca Stropoli -- Broadcasting & Cable, 1/23/2007 3:19:00 PM
NBC's Heroes maintained its superpower status Monday night, airing its first original episode since Dec. 4, this time against Fox's stalwart 24.
Heroes scored with a 6.5 rating/15 share in the key 18-49 demo, according to Nielsen overnights; the numbers were identical to Dec. 4. The show helped NBC to No. 1 for the night (5.0/12).
The Peacock's Studio 60 also returned for a seven-week run. It earned a 3.2/8 in the demo, up a bit from its last original episode, which also aired Dec. 4 and earned a 3.0/8.
24 was down a bit from last week, when its sixth-season premiere aired over four hours on two nights. Jan. 14's two hours scored a 6.0/13 and Jan. 15's a 5.9/13. Monday night's numbers were a 5.4/12. Fox was No. 2 for the night with a 4.8/11.
CBS was third with a 4.6/11 for its comedy lineup and CSI: Miami, its highest-rated show at a 6.0/15.
ABC came in fourth place with a 3.2/8 for Wife Swap, Supernanny and What About Brian (continuing to perform poorly in the 10-11 slot, earning just a 2.4/6 against CSI and Studio 60).
The CW earned a 1.1/3 for its comedy lineup. No numbers were available for MyNetworkTV's novellas, Wicked WIcked Games and Watch Over Me,
